The state-owned enterprise Chisinau International Airport was included in the list of goods that cannot be privatized by an amendment to the law on the application of international restrictive measures, which was given a final reading by Parliament, IPN reports.
The amendment was proposed by the chairman of the parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finance Radu Marian. According to the bill, the takeoff and landing runways, taxiways and platforms for embarkation and disembarkation, those for aircraft parking and other airport infrastructure elements, as well as the land on which they are located, belong to the public domain of the state.
The amendment also stipulates that the Public Property Agency, in its capacity as founder, will be able to solve the difficulties encountered in the process of conducting tender contests for the selection of commercial spaces for public catering and trade for the sterile area inside the Chisinau International Airport.
