Over 1,400 books have been collected as part of the campaign “Donate a book and you will bring light”, aimed at renewing the book fund of the library belonging to the Chisinau-based National Home for elderly and disabled persons, Info-Prim Neo reports. Tens of natural and legal persons, especially from the capital city, have donated books during the event, the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child (MSPFC) said. The National Library for Children “Ion Creanga”, the State Pedagogical University “Ion Creanga”, the Free International University of Moldova and the organisations “Evreiskoe Mestechko” (“The Jewish Place”) and “Motivatie” (“Motivation”) were among those that joined the cause. Those who did not manage to support this action, but want to do it, are invited to make donations at MSPFC, situated on 1 Alecsandri Street or directly at the home for elderly, which can be found on 16 Valea Radiului Street.
