12 persons compete for post of public TV channel director

Twelve persons have applied for the position of director of the public TV channel Moldova 1. The chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” Eugeniu Rybka has told Info-Prim Neo that most of the applications were submitted on the last day, April 24. Only three applications had been filed by then. “In the April 27 meeting of the Supervisory Board, I will suggest fixing a date for the contest. Most probably, it will take place after May 6,” said Eugeniu Rybka. Eight men and four women are competing for the post of director of Moldova 1. Among them is the vice director of Moldova 1 Efim Josanu, TV presenter Angela Arama, spokesman for the Ministry of Youth and Sport Ghenadie Vasilache, human rights militant Ghenadie Brega, and Supervisory Board member Aurelia Peru-Balan. The post was vacated by Angela Sarbu last month. She was elected director in February 2010 by the votes of six members of the Supervisory Board, out of 12 candidates.
