42% of the respondents of a sociopolitical barometer commissioned by IPN News Agency consider that 2013 is a bad year for Moldova. 46% of those polled said it is neither good nor bad and only 10% think this year is a good one.

The poll reveals that 77% of the respondents believe that Moldova follows a wrong path, as against 56% in a similar poll of last November. 58% of those surveyed said they are not very satisfied or are not at all satisfied with their life. According to the respondents, unemployment, the political instability, poverty and corruption are the most serious problems faced by society.

As regards the political situation, more than a half of those polled said the decisions to dismiss the Government headed by Vlad Filat, to ban him from applying for the post of Premier again and to name Iurie Leanca as head of the executive were right.

The poll also shows that 71% of those questioned have the greatest confidence in the Church. The mass media is trusted by 52% of the respondents. Only 18-19% trust the Government, Presidential Office and Parliament.

The survey commissioned by IPN was carried out by the Marketing and Poling Institute IMAS-INC Chisinau between May 10 and 26. It covered a sample of 1,143 persons. The margin of sampling error is 3%.
