The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Agreement with the Government of the United Kingdom on the readmission of illegally staying citizens. Thanks to the treaty, the procedures for identifying and returning persons who do not meet the conditions for entry or stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova or the United Kingdom will be faster and more efficient, IPN reports.
According to Minister of the Interior Daniella Misail-Nikitin, the topicality of the treaty is determined by the need to intensify bilateral cooperation relations in the field of readmission of illegal staying persons in situations.
"Fast and efficient procedures will be facilitated to identify and return, in safe and orderly conditions, persons who do not meet the conditions of entry or stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova or the United Kingdom," said Daniella Misail-Nikitin.
The official noted that the new agreement complements Moldova’s foreign policy to develop good relations with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
