The authorities informed about the ninth case of death caused by the AH1N1 flu virus. A woman from Camenca died on February 19, but the case was made public only now, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Constantin Spinu, vice director of the National Public Health Center, has told Info-Prim Neo that the woman was 54. She died at the hospital in Ceadir-Lunga. The woman went to see a doctor too late. She had high blood pressure and cardiac insufficiency and the flu worsened her state. The woman hadn’t been immunized.
According to Constantin Spinu, the number of flu cases is expected to decrease in the first decade of March so that no epidemic state will be declared in Moldova.
Specialists recommend taking prophylaxis measures. It is recommended eating products that contain vitamin C and garlic and onion, which are antimicrobial, leading a healthy lifestyle, without tobacco and alcohol, avoiding crowded places and contact with sick persons.
