Rita Lefter-Simașco, chief of staff for the leader of the PAS parliamentary group, has been nominated for member of the Central Electoral Commission.
Lefter-Simașco, 35, holds a master’s degree in law. She previously served as senior specialist in the Chisinau municipal government. Later she became an adviser to the PAS group leader and was subsequently promoted to chief of staff.
A seat on the CEC remained vacant after the recent resignation of Ludmila Lupașco, who had previously been appointed to the Commission by Parliament at the proposal of the PAS group.
