The repair and modernization works on the embarkation and disembarkation platform and taxiways of the Chisinau International Airport were completed, IPN reports.
According to the airport’s administration, the works were finished by 14 days earlier than planned, demonstrating the commitment to efficiency and safety.
"Today, there were completed stages 3 and 4 of the project, which included the milling of the damaged asphalt layer and placing of a new layer of bituminous asphalt on the L3, L4 and L5 taxiways, located between the aircraft service parking lots," said the administration.
The repair works were funded by the airport and covered an area of about 34,840 square meters of asphalt, with a thickness of 5.7 and 12 centimeters.
