Moldova will have a new register of municipal networks and access to data will be free of charge. The report regarding the draft law on the creation of the register was approved at the meeting of the Parliament’s commission on agriculture and food industry and is to be submitted to Parliament for adoption.
The electricity, natural gas, water supply and sewerage, drainage, thermal, electronic communications networks, hydro-irrigation systems and their protection areas and the prohibitions/restrictions related to the protection areas will be subject to registration. The register will contain spatial and descriptive data regarding the positioning, shape and parameters of the municipal networks or their structural elements.
The register will be managed by the Real Estate Cadaster and owned by the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadaster Agency. The Agency will ensure the legal, financial and organizational conditions for the creation, administration, maintenance and development of the register.
The funds necessary for the creation of the Register of Municipal Networks will be allocated from the budget of the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project.
