The Ministry of Education and Research, in partnership with Langly Oxford English and the Future Technologies Project, has launched a pilot project to use the Langly educational platform in teaching English. Nearly 5,000 5th and 6th graders, led by 200 teachers, will benefit from this innovative initiative as early as the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year.

The initiative is part of the Ministry of Education's strategy to modernize education, giving students the chance to develop key skills for the future and access educational and professional opportunities more easily.

"Knowledge of English is essential for connecting young people in Moldova to global opportunities. This project will modernize the education process, helping to develop the skills needed for the future", said Education Minister Dan Perciun at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the partners.

Teachers will receive training and mentoring to integrate new technologies into the educational process. "Innovation in education is no longer an alternative but a necessity. This project demonstrates our commitment to support teachers and students in the use of state-of-the-art digital solutions," emphasized Doina Nistor, director of the Future Technologies Project.

The Oxford-certified, artificial intelligence-based Langly platform offers personalized content, student progress monitoring and interactive learning methods.

The project is implemented by the National Center for Digital Innovations in Education "Classroom of the Future", with financial support from USAID, Sweden and the UK.
