Cristofor Aldea Teodorovici, the son of the late singers Ion and Doina Aldea Teodorovici, is negotiating with a number of studios in Moldova to make an animated film about his parents, he told Info-Prim Neo. “I would love an animated movie about them. Perhaps drawn with a crayon about how they went in villages and sang for a piece of bread, about that wave of emotions in the 80s, when people weren’t in the best financial situation, but music helped them go on. My parents were probably among the main promoters of our country and of our nation”. Cristofor, who is himself a singer, said he thought about an animated documentary because there was little footage with the singing couple for a conventional documentary. In late January or early February 2013, Cristofor plans to release an album as a tribute to his parents, with tracks in a “sympho-jazz style”. “Besides, this spring I’ll try to raise money for a concert with my father’s music composed for theater and film with a symphonic orchestra. I think it will be a success because this music hasn’t been performed live for 20 years. We’ll also start popularizing those classic melodies, symphonic rhapsodies composed by father”. “We’ll promote this couple, Ion and Doina, by any means”, said Cristofor, in an interview with Info-Prim Neo, {published on January 25} as part of the “Year 2012 in the life of Moldova and its people” Series. The Moldovan Government delcared 2012 as the Year of Ion and Doina Aldea Teodorovici.
