“Assumption of Marry” Church in Causeni to be restored

The Ministry of Culture this year will start to restore the Church “Assumption of Marry” located in Causeni town. The works will be performed in partnership with an Italian company, Info-Prim Neo reports. Deputy Minister of Culture Gheorghe Postica said that for the first time in the last few years financial resources were earmarked for restoring and conserving this church. The works will last for a long time. A sum of 1 million lei was allocated for the initial period. “It is a long and costly process, but we are glad that Parliament supported us in this respect,” he stated. The Causeni Church “Assumption of Marry” dates from the 16th century, but the year when it was erected is not known.
