While monitoring the range of radio frequencies, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology detected a new unauthorized digital broadcast in the Transnistrian region. The signal came from a station situated near Tiraspol town, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry, the unauthorized running of the digital station will create hindrances to the mobile communication networks that are to be implemented. When the terrestrial digital television is launched, the unauthorized station will cause reciprocal interference in the LTE network and the regional frequencies intended for developing digital television.
The ICT Ministry asked that Tiraspol’s political representative to the Transnistrian settlement intervene and immediately and unconditionally stop the unauthorized functioning of the unauthorized station.
