Autoclaved cellular or aerated concrete will be made in Moldova for the first time. The production process starts next week at a company based in Chetrosu village of Anenii Noi district, which has worked in Moldova for ten years. In the period, it produced siliceous-calcareous bricks.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, the company’s director said they already have orders for making cellular concrete for two years ahead, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.
The autoclaved cellular concrete is a lightweight, precast building material that simultaneously provides structure, insulation, and fire- and mold-resistance. The company will produce annually 40,000 cubic meters of cellular concrete. It can satisfy 20% of the internal demand.
Until now Moldova imported 100% of the autoclaved aerated concrete.
