The deputy mayors of Balti municipality, Tatiana Dubitskaya and Genady Smulschi, received a vote of no confidence from the municipal councilors, TVN informs.
Contacted by IPN for details, mayor of Balti Alexandr Petkov said that there is a political agreement between the Party of Action and Solidarity and the Party of Socialists. “What is being done is illegal because this is exclusively my prerogative," Alexander Petkov stressed.
According to a decision published in the local press, deputy mayor Genady Șmulschi was dismissed because his term in office expired. Since November 14, 2019, when he was appointed, Șmulschi had been responsible for finance and economy, trade, public catering, provision of services to the population, public procurement, foreign economic relations, the published document shows.
