The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) has announced a contest to choose TV programs and radio stations that address issues of public interest. The contest will take place from September 24 until October 24, while the projects will be financed by the Broadcaster Support Fund, IPN reports.

The contest is intended for radio and television stations that broadcast through ether and cable in Moldova’s settlements, except for the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti. “By this contest, the Broadcasting Coordination Council aims to support and offer a real chance to the broadcasters to take part in the National Radio and Television Contest that will be opened in 2014,” said BCC member Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca.

Under the regulations of the contest, the broadcasters can submit several projects, but there will be selected only one of them.

The members of the BCC will examine the projects and will take a final decision in a public meeting. The contest results will be made known within 30 days of the deadline for submissions.
