The MPs of the group of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) left the sitting of Parliament. In this way, they expressed their protest at the fact that the examination of the no-confidence motion against the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, led by Ludmila Catlabuga, was not included in the agenda, IPN reports.
In the plenary session, Socialist MP Radu Mudreac said that the group submitted the no-confidence motion on March 20, in accordance with the Parliament's Rules of Procedure. It is April 10, but the debate has not been included on the agenda yet.
"The debate on the no-confidence motion takes place within 14 working days. The Parliament's Bureau was to set the date of the debate. Article 115 stipulates a period of 14 days," said Radu Mudreac.
PAS MP Alexandr Trubca said that the agriculture and food industry committee he leads on Wednesday rejected the proposal to debate the no-confidence motion against the policies of the Ministry of Agriculture. "As far as I understand, in its meeting yesterday, the Standing Bureau refused to include it in the agenda. Respectively, I see no reason for supporting such a proposal," said the PAS MP.
Radu Mudreac noted that the Standing Bureau does not have the power to accept or not and should only set the date of the debate in Parliament.
Before leaving the meeting, Socialist MP Corneliu Furculiță presented a new no-confidence motion against the policies of the Ministry of Justice. According to the BCS, the justice sector is managed improperly and is marked by non-compliant decisions, tacit approval and lack of legal reaction. They also accused the Ministry of Justice of professional negligence that generated dramatic consequences for the sector, for the safety of the citizen and the country.
