A man died after the car he drove was hit by a train running on the Chisinau-Moscow route near Pănășești village of Strășeni district at 11:40am on December 5.
Asked by IPN to provide details, press officer of the Strășeni Police Inspectorate Cristina Vicol said it was preliminarily established that the 53-year-old driver ignored the sonorous and luminescent signals that warned against crossing the railway.
As a result of the impact, the car was projected at a distance of several meters.
