Georges Bizet’s “Carmen” will be put on at National Opera House in Chisinau on October 2. The orchestra will be conducted by Razvan Cernat, of the Romanian National Opera, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“It will be an extraordinary performance and we hope the public will be delighted,” National Opera House director Valeria Sheican said in a news conference.
Razvan Cernat said the National Opera House is one of the most representative theaters in Europe. “The opera “Carmen” has a special significance for me because it helped the Romanian National Opera attain glory,” he stated.
In another development, Valeria Sheican said the National Opera House has a new strategic partner – Ukrainian conductor Andriy Yurkevych, who keeps the spirits of the artistic team up.
The National Opera House will present seven performances in October, including “Swan Lake”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “La Traviata”, and “Carmen”.
