The case of judge Dorin Popovich, who was disciplinarily penalized for the violations committed while examining the legal cases of April 2009, was returned to the Court of Appeals by a decision of the Supreme Court of Justice, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Dorin Popovich was dismissed from the post of judge by a presidential decree, on the recommendation of the Supreme Council of Magistrates. He is the only judge who was punished disciplinarily for committing irregularities when trying the legal cases of April 2009.
The Supreme Council of Magistrates established that Dorin Popovich in April 2009 violated the principles of publicity and solemnity of the hearings and the principles of impartiality and preeminence of the law when doing justice as he examined the legal case during 7-10 minutes each.
