A resource center for children with special needs has been opened at Hyperion Lyceum, in Chisinau's suburban town of Durlesti. Here, children with disabilities will be able to receive psychological, social and pedagogical assistance from qualified specialists.
Chisinau's education chief Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb has told IPN such centers will be established in every institution across the Municipality to create conditions and provide access to quality education.
Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said the Durlesti center will provide services to some 20 children with special needs of different ages. A total of 35 such centers have been created this year, and more will follow next year.
To create and furnish the Durlesti center, the central and local authorities spent 500,000 lei.
