Social services providers will be certified by the National Accreditation Council for Social Services Providers, a newly formed structure, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to Viorica Dumbraveanu, head of the Family and Children’s Rights Protection Department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, the nature of work done in the social services sector led to the necessity of establishing a national council that would have the status of public institution, financed by the State Budget, and which would not charge social services providers for their accreditation. Thus, on July 6, 2012, the Government has adopted the bill on establishing an accreditation council for the providers, and in six months the promulgated Law will become effective. The National Accreditation Council will also be able to monitor how the social servicemen activate after having been accredited. The National Accreditation Council for Social Service Providers subordinates to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, has the status of legal entity that is financed by the State Budget.
