On April 7, 2009, the Moldovan singer and composer Ion Aldea-Teodorovici would have turned 55. On this occasion, the “Doua inimi gemene” Association ” will hold a charity performance. The collected money will be used to build a church – an unaccomplished dream of the departed couple Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici, Info-Prim Neo reports. A religious service will be preformed at noon on April 7 at the tomb of Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici from the Central Cemetery on Armeneasca street in Chisinau. On April 12, at 17.00, the Mihai Eminescu National Theater will host a charity play. The tickets may be bought from the Association on Bucuresti str., 68, office 305. Eugenia Marin, Doina Aldea Teodorovici’s mother says the artists died prematurely and did not manage to build a church as they would dream. The association wants to build the church in Baurci-Moldoveni village from Cahul district, the native village of Eugenia Marin, where Doina grew up, and Ion liked to spend time there. The village does not have a church. The patron of the church will be Saint Paraskeva, as some $240,000 euro needed to build it. The association accepts donations.
