Child injured by exploded cartridge

A 10-year-old boy in Chisinau's suburban town of Singera was seriously injured by a cartridge for hunting he was playing with after it exploded in his hand. Nicolae Starciuc, the director of the Municipal Hospital for Children V. Ignatenco, has told Info-Prim Neo the boy suffered a serious injury that affected his muscles, blood vessels and other tissues. Fortunately, the bones were untouched, and the doctors are doing everything in their power to restore the hand's functions. In any case, the rehabilitation period will be long, said Nicolae Starciuc. The mishap occurred on Monday evening. The doctors have no information on how the boy got hold of the cartridge.
