No suspect device was found at the Chisinau International Airport so that the passengers and personnel were allowed access inside the building at 5pm, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Border Police.
The passengers and personnel of the Chisinau International Airport were evacuated from the terminal after the Border Police received an email saying a bomb was planted in the airport’s building. The check-in was temporarily stopped and specialized teams of the Ministry of the Interior and prosecution officers of the Border Police initiated measures to identify the author of the bomb hoax.
The airport’s electronic table now does not indicate delays on takeoff. However, four flights – from Istanbul, Warsaw, Milan and London - are late on landing and the delays are of up to 2.2 hours.
