Before Low Sunday, the people besieged the Central Market of Chisinau. Those who did not manage to make purchases earlier, do it on the last 100 meters, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I bought towels, kerchiefs and have some other things to purchase,” said a buyer in a hurry. Another buyer said that she spent a lot of money on the holidays, but these are the traditions and she observes them. “I bought some food products, teacups and other things for Low Sunday,” she stated. Others said they came to the market one day before Low Sunday because they hope to find fresher products. “I bought cabbage for forcemeat rolls as I want to take them to the cemetery. I purchased cakes and towels that I will give as presents on Low Sunday. Those who passed away should also celebrate Eater,” said a woman. Some of the traders complained that the sales this year are lower because the people do not have money, while others said the sales increased. They sell products for every pocket. The teacups at the market cost 10 lei and more apiece. The towels are sold for 5 to 20 lei. The artificial flowers are also in demand.
