Chisinau City Hall’s stage retained by police: city hall’s PR Direction

The police retained the truck carrying the equipment for erecting the stage in the Opera Theater Square, the city hall’s PR Direction announces. Earlier, the municipality accused the police of having impounded the Christmas Tree bought by the city hall and the gifts which mayor Dorin Chirtoaca want to donate pupils of a boarding school. A communique of the Chisinau City Hall’s PR Direction reads that the reason invoked by the employees of the Traffic Police Service, who arrested the truck with the stage, was that the driver had no 'road permit'. The car was sent then to the Rascani Police Office of Chisinau. A day earlier, the City Hall announced a concert dedicated to Christmas in the Opera and Ballet Theater Square on December 25, at 17.00 Mariana Vasilache, an official of the PR Direction, has stated for Info-Prim Neo that the show is not canceled. Doina Sulac, Geta Burlacu, Aura, Iurie Sadovnic, Nelly Ciobanu, Adrian Ursu, Natalia Barbu, Catharsis, the “Stefan Voda” band, the Osoianu sisters and others will perform. Pavel Stratan and the band “Snails” will also perform recitals on Christmas Eve. The Chisinau City Hall said it had lodged a complaint to the General Prosecutor’s Office for having retained the Christmas Tree bought by the municipality.
