The third European People’s Party (EPP) Summit of the heads of state and government of the Eastern Partnership member states is taking place in Chisinau today, July 11. The event will be attended by the Presidents of Georgia and Armenia, IPN reports.
The summit, chaired by the EPP president Wilfried Martens and the head of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova Vlad Filat, will involve the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakasvili, who heads the United National Movement Party, the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who leads the Republican Party, and Moldova’s Prime Minister Iurie Leanca.
The event is held at the Palace of the Republic, starting at 4pm, and will last for slightly over an hour. The mass media will be able to take protocol pictures and statements at the end.
Contacted by IPN, the press service of the Liberal Democratic Party, which is a member of the EPP, said the agenda of the discussions hasn’t been made public yet.
