The Chisinau-based maternity hospital No. 2 will get medical equipment to the value of over US$85,000 from the Government of Japan within the KUSANONE Project. Contacted by IPN, the medical institution’s director Tatiana Gutium said the equipment that is to be purchased is needed for improving the medical services provided by the institution.
The maternity will be outfitted with a 4D ultra sound machine, an anesthesia machine and an obstetric table.
Tatiana Gutium said the hospital so far didn’t have a 4D ultra sound machine. This will help identify congenital abnormalities in the fetus from the very beginning of the pregnancy.
About 2,000 children are yearly born at maternity hospital No. 2.
