The Specialized Sports Tennis School in Chisinau has a new heating system. Its windows and doors were changed. The taken energy efficiency measures are meant to reduce the energy consumption for heating the school by 30% and to create a comfortable and sustainable environment for students and teachers, IPN reports.
With the completion of the works, the over 300 children and teachers can start training in the renovated and warm rooms, said the Ministry of Education and Research.
The implementation of energy efficiency measures cost US$330,000.
The initiative is the result of a long-standing partnership between USAID, through the "Energy Security of the Republic of Moldova" Project, the Ministry of Education and the British Embassy in Chisinau.
