CMC approves list of internally displaced persons who will receive new apartments

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) at its Tuesday's meeting approved the list of internally displaced persons from the Transnistrian region, who need apartments. The list includes 86 persons. Eighty of them will receive apartments in the building situated at 6 Milescu Spataru St. Six cases will be reexamined, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said 80 persons need indeed to be provided with dwellings. While examining the documents, problems were identities in six cases. The given files will be reexamined. According to the mayor, the apartment building is now 99.9% ready. All the works will be finished this week. Deputy mayor Vlad Cotet said the building is not fully ready because the State Construction Inspectorate identified certain problems and the general contractor is to remove them. Unaffiliated councilor Oleg Cernei asked the six refugees to present all the necessary legal documents. “We are not your enemies. You should submit the necessary documents at the expected time.” Under the Government's Decision No. 758 of 1993, the persons who were forced to leave their homes in the Transnistrian region as a result of the 1992 armed conflict will be provided with dwellings by the state.
