Co-rapporteurs of PACE Monitoring Committee on visit to Moldova

Lise Christoffersen from Norway and Piotr Wach from Poland, co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will be paying a visit to Chisinau between November 28 and December 1, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Parliament of Moldova. The co-rapporteurs will have meetings with Head of Parliament Marian Lupu, the delegation of the Parliament of Moldova to the PACE and with representatives of parliamentary factions. The main subjects for discussion will center on the political situation in Moldova, the analysis of the draft plan of action for fulfilling Moldova’s commitments to the Council of Europe, the legal system reform, combating of corruption and organized crime, the Transnistrian conflict. The program of the visit also includes meetings with Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca and Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim. The co-rapporteurs will also meet with Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko, members of the Supreme Council of Prosecutors, the Supreme Council of Magistrates, the Supreme Court of Justice, the Constitutional Court, and of the Broadcasting Coordination Council, other officials and representatives of civil society.
