Commission for identifying victims of April 2009 events restored

The intergovernmental commission for identifying the victims of the April 7, 2009 events resumed work, for an indefinite period, in order to provide compensations and agree other measures aimed at rehabilitating the persons affected by those events, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Government, Prime Minister Vlad Filat demanded that the commission be restored after he had a meeting with participants in the April 2009 protests in the Government Building on April 7. It was decided to draft and approve new regulations that will govern the commission’s work so that its legal status and powers are strengthened. The next meeting of the commission will take place next week.
