The Communists are disappointed by the way the so-called velvet revolution develops and by the fact that they do not manage to gather the people to their protest scheduled for Saturday and thus make speculations about everything, said Deputy Speaker Andrian Candu. “The Communists are in a tight spot. They lose control and are disillusioned as they do not manage to stage that velvet revolution announced in summer,” he stated, quoted by IPN.
According to Andrian Candu, the Communist Party (PCRM) is also disappointed by the fact that the organization of the so-called march to Chisinau is beyond their expectations. “They are dissatisfied because they do not manage to manipulate the people and bring them to the Great National Assembly Square, as the democratic forces did for the noble goal of the European integration,” he said.
As to the aggressive behavior of the Communist MPs in the legislature’s sitting, Candu said it shows once again that the Parliament Regulations must be modified. “The behavior of the PCRM is beyond criticism. They are aggressive and defiant and obey no civilization and education standards,” he added.
Speaker Igor Corman said the PCRM’s actions became a tradition and their only goal is to destabilize the situation in the country and the work of Parliament. He called on the MPs from the coalition to remain calm and to focus on the priorities of the parliamentary agenda. “This is not constructive behavior and the people do not approve of it, as the recent polls showed,” he stated.
On November 21, the MPs passed amendment to the Parliament Regulations in the first reading. Under the amendments, the lawmakers cannot block the central rostrum of Parliament and cannot use loudspeakers in the sittings.
The same day, the Communist MPs barred access to the rostrum and even pushed MPs of the majority coalition as the break they asked wasn’t announced.
