A businessman working in Gagauzia will file a complaint to the Prosecutor General’s Office against Prime Minister Vlad Filat and the director of the Main State Tax Inspectorate Nicolae Vicol. The businessman’s father, the chairman of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia Dmitri Constantinov told a news conference that the complaint is based on the recordings of phone conversations that were made public by the media recently. In those discussions, Vlad Filat ordered Nicolae Vicol to block the accounts of a company, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Dmitri Constantinov said that after he analyzed the telephone conversations he understood that the officials referred to his son’s company that was inspected by tax inspectors for several times last September. Afterward, its accounts were blocked two times.
According to Dmitri Constantinov, a company that he headed before he was elected as chairman of the People’s Assembly was fined over 9 million lei without its documents being verified. He believes that these actions followed his refusal to cooperate with the Liberal Democratic Party headed by Vlad Filat.
Dmitri Constantinov also said that both his son’s company and the firm that he founded met with impediments owing to the frequent inspections and the fines and to the blocked accounts. “We went to court two times and the accounts were unblocked. Afterward, my son’s company was fined 3.8 million lei, while the firm I created – over 9 million lei,” he stated.
He informed that he was invited to join the Liberal-Democrats, but he refused. His colleagues in the People’s Assembly warned him that he may encounter problems because of this.
The media recently broadcast recordings of telephone conversations between Nicolae Vicol and high-ranking officials. The Liberal-Democrats said the tapping was illegal, while the recordings were possibly not genuine.
Dmitri Constantinov is now a member of the Democratic Party of Moldova.
