The Scientific Research Center of Gagauzia issued a textbook titled “History of the Native Region: Gagauzia. Bugeac” that is intended for the local schools. The announcement was made in a working meeting of the region’s Executive Committee by the Center’s head Piotr Pashaly, IPN reports.
The textbook was compiled by historians Stepan Bulgar and Serghei Agulnicov. It was published in cooperation with the General Education Division of Gagauzia and is an additional aid for teaching the Antic History to the fifth grade.
Piotr Pashaly informed that a letter was sent to the Ministry of Education of Moldova, saying that the textbook must be printed in a sufficient number of copies in order to satisfy the needs of the Education Division.
According to the summary, the textbook contains illustrations and photographs of archeological excavations, antic tombs, sites and settlements located on the territory of Gagauzia.
