The contract for the administration of apartment buildings signed by apartment owners and the municipal hosing stock managing companies will be modified and adjusted to the legislation. Such a decision was taken in a meeting of specialists of the Consumer Protection Agency and the Chisinau Public Amenities Division and the European Delegation’s representative for energy and construction, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Consumer Protection Agency, the contract approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council contains general provisions concerning the range of works included in the charge, which does not furnish the end-users with detailed information about the volume, quality and terms during which the services are to be provided. It also does not include methods of paying for the executed works and standard provisions regarding the right to reduce the payment when the volume and quality of the performed works are not respected.
In this connection, the Agency’s jurists asked that the document be adjusted to the legislation and that the end-users be extensively and precisely informed about the guarantees, terms and quality of the services. The contract must contain clauses that will enable the consumers to verify how the contract conditions are met by the administrator.
