The head of the Socialist parliamentary group Corneliu Furculiță said that if Maia Sandu continues to refuse to nominate the candidate for Prime Minister proposed by the parliamentary majority, the interim Government would be given extended obligations by this majority, IPN reports.
In a program on “Primul în Moldova” channel, the Socialist MP said that over 70 MPs expressed their readiness to support such a proposal.
According to him, Moldova is a parliamentary republic and Parliament, being functional and having a Speaker, can continue to function normally.
“It is an abnormal situation as a political payer does not want to fulfill her duties. But there are examples, including in the EU states, where the Parliament and the Government worked with restricted powers for a rather long period of time,” said the leader of the Socialist group.
