Two sisters, a 3 month infant and a 3 year old one, ended up in the hospital after a gas cylinder exploded and caused a fire. Their father was injured as well. The incident happened in a household in Seliste village, Nisporeni district.
Vasile Tomuz, acting chief of the burns ward at the Children's Hospital “Emil Cotaga”, told IPN that the older sister in the specialized ward, while her sister is in the intensive care unit. The child suffered burns on her face, head, chest, belly and feet. The father was hospitalized with burns in the district hospital.
The explosion happened overnight into January 1. The cause is still unknown.
