During three days, representatives of the diaspora will be able to take part in a number of informative and cultural-artistic events staged by the Bureau for Diaspora Relations on the occasion of the launch of the Diaspora Days in Moldova, IPN reports.
The Bureau’s head Victor Lutenco told a news conference that on the first day, on August 28, representatives of the diaspora will be able to discuss with the Prime Minister and ministers the problems they face outside the country. Instructive workshops for the Moldovans aboard who would like to invest in Moldova and on the teaching of Romanian to the diaspora will be held during the day.
On August 29, there will be staged a public policy seminar entitled “Economic diaspora for Moldova”. Eleven public policies on finances and pensions, worked out by representatives of the diaspora, will be presented there.
On August 30, the Ethnic-Cultural Complex “Vatra” will host the Diaspora Festival, where Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and members of the Cabinet will prepare the largest pie in Moldova. There will be mounted sports competitions, a handicrafts fair and a Romanian round dance of the diaspora.
“By the Diaspora Days, we want to present the whole range of services and events initiated in Moldova to our co-nationals from abroad,” said Victor Lutenco. In cooperation with the Tourism Agency, there was compiled a brochure about the agri-tourist pensions of Moldova, at the suggestion of representatives of the diaspora, and published the discounts offered by the pensions during the Diaspora Days.
Iurie Leanca noted there will be held a number of meetings to ensure open communication and facilitate the solving of individual problems that represent system problems.
Under a Government decision, the Diaspora Days will be organized in Moldova each year.
