Moldova 2 is the second TV channel of the public broadcaster that will have national coverage. The broadcast schedule of Moldova 2 will include own programs and programs of Moldova 1 channel. The issue was developed by the head of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” Doina Deleu in the program “MediaRing” staged by the Independent Journalism Center, IPN reports.
Doina Deleu said the new channel will broadcast 200 hours of newscasts and special editions from the Euro-2016 Football Championship of June 10 – July 10 and the Rio Olympic Games of August 5-21.
“As regards TV Moldova International, I want to remind that the Governments of Romania and Moldova on March 3, 2014 signed an agreement of cooperation in retransmitting the programs of the public broadcasters of the two states. A number of legal, technical and financial conditions must be met for this project to be implemented,” said Doina Deleu.
She noted that for broadcasting TV Moldova 1 in Romania, the daily content needs to be reconfigured based on exclusive production. This means creating the external version of TV Moldova 1 and/or Moldova International. “The new project necessitates human and financial investments, including broadcast equipment to the value of over €398,000 and 580,000 lei a year for paying the creation and technical personnel as well as other costs,” she stated.
Asked about the new Broadcasting Code that was passed by Parliament, Doina Deleu noted that this is a positive and pragmatic one, but it needs to be harmonized with a number of legal provisions or the experts will encounter law-related difficulties.
As to the ad-hoc commission that will recruit personnel within the company, Doina Deleu said this is a modern staff selection method. It will be a commission consisting of professionals who know how to choose an appropriate person for a job.
