Drivers warned to avoid traveling long distances

The snowy roads and difficult weather conditions make movement on segments of the national roads impossible. A number of trucks got stuck on the road between Slobozia Mare and Cahul, Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo. The Emergencies Service warns the driver to avoid traveling long distances until the roads are cleaned from snow. On Saturday and Sunday, the snow and low temperatures may cause impediments on the road. The drivers are urged to equip their vehicles with winter tires, spades and sand and take hot drinks with them. The parents are warned not to allow the children to play on the ice of ponds as it is thin and can break.
