The Cabinet on May 31 agreed the minimum elevator utilization safety requirements. The approved document regulates the procedure for registering elevators, the method of putting these into and out of operation and the responsibilities of the maintenance personnel, IPN reports.
A complex of measures needed to ensure the reliable utilization of elevators is defined, such as the technical inspection at least once in 12 months and general overhaul in case of powerful earthquakes, and non-utilization of the elevator for more than 90 days.
