Employees will pay 6% of salary for future pensions

The state social insurance contribution in 2012 will remain 29%: 23% paid by the employers and 6% paid by employee, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the draft state budget law for next year. The tax payers who work by themselves – the founders of private companies, holders of patents, private lawyers, notaries and bailiffs – will pay a fixed social insurance contribution of 4 704 lei, as against 4 368 this year. The private individuals who own farmland and cultivate it themselves can sign insurance contracts at the National Social Insurance House voluntarily. The contribution in 2012 will be 1 164 lei, as opposed to 1 080 lei in 2011. The social insurance contribution for civil aviation employees will be calculated by the employer, given the special work conditions.
