In April, the state-owned company Energocom will sell natural gas to Moldovagaz at a price of €450 per 1,000 cubic meters. The company says it has completed the purchase of the required amounts for April, as ordered by the Commission for Extraordinary Situations and Moldovagaz.
During a tender process on April 4, Energocom bought over 30 million cubic meters at a price below those previously offered by Gazprom to Moldovagaz.
In addition to the amounts bought in the first two days of April, the rest of the consumption demand for the current month will be covered by Energocom from the amounts stocked at the beginning of the 2023/24 cold season.
“The very good price at which we made purchases in the last few days will allow us to reduce the price at which we sell to SA Moldovagaz. We hope that in the near future we will have an equally favorable price situation on the market”, said Victor Bînzari, acting director of Energocom.
Under the CES decision of December 2023, from January to April 2024, Energocom sells natural gas to Moldovagaz at a price of €550. Following the April 4 tender, the Public Property Agency, as the sole shareholder, and the Energocom Board agreed to lower the price to €450 for April.
