Ștefan Macar, administrator of the amusement park "Aventura Park" situated in Chisinau, and his lawyer request to cancel the tender contest to dismantle and take away the equipment from the park, announced by the Moldexpo Exhibitions Center. They say that the measure is illegal and they will challenge it in court as the dispute involving the lot on which the park is located is still pending, IPN reports.
"The head of Moldexpo publicly announced a tender contest to dismantle the park, for the amount of 1 million lei. It is an abusive measure as the case is to be examined by the court and nothing can be taken away," lawyer Olga Iovu said at a news conference held at IPN.
The lawyer noted that they made a request to prohibit the removal of the equipment and a court hearing was scheduled for Wednesday. She stresses that Moldexpo has no legal reasons to organize the tender contest.
"We are forced to warn that any economic agent that will participate in this tender contest risks being criminally denounced," said Olga Iovu. According to her, in the country there are no specialized companies that can dismantle such equipment without damaging it and that any intervention would bring enormous damage to the company.
The lawyer assured that the equipment is in good condition, functional and repaired. Respectively, the statements about the state of the equipment made by Moldexpo are unfounded. At the conference, Olga Iovu presented receipts proving that the company paid the rent on time, according to the old rate of 17.44 lei per square meter.
"Aventura Park constantly paid all the amounts. The accusations that it has debts are mere insinuations. We cannot understand how the rent rose from 17 lei to almost 1,000 lei per square meter," added the lawyer.
According to the lawyer, the requested rent is neither logically nor legally justified. She drew attention to the fact that, under these conditions, the operations of the economic agent become unsustainable and the development of the business is impossible.
Olga Iovu pointed out that the investments in "Aventura Park" exceeded 1.2 million lei only for the salaries of employees, noting that part of the equipment was vandalized, and the authorities did not intervene.
"Children need a pleasant and safe space for play and development, not so many fast-food tents that appear one after the other in this area," concluded the lawyer.
