The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini reiterated the support for Moldova’s European course. The official underlined the necessity of forming a stable government in Moldova so as to continue on the path to European integration. She made such statements in a meeting with acting Prime Minister Natalia Gherman in Brussels, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the interlocutors assessed the progress made by Moldova in implementing the European integration agenda and the results of reforms done to put into practice the Association Agreement with the EU.
The officials also discussed the internal political situation in Moldova and the regional situation, including the cooperation between Moldova and the EU in the area of common security and defense policy and Moldova’s participation in the missions staged under the European Union’s aegis.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman is paying her first visit as acting Prime Minister of Moldova to Brussels.
