The chairman of the public association “Moldova mea” Fiodor Ghelici, who is the diplomat of an international organization, considers only the external government of the EU will save Moldova from destruction, corruption and stealing. In a news conference at IPN on April 2, the activist said the European development partners offer Moldova financing from which those who are in power enrich themselves, while the people get nothing because the financial flows coming to the country are not controlled by the donors.
According to Fiodor Ghelici, the foreign partners showed Moldova an example of better life, where the law works, there is social protection and the people feel safe. Wishing to help the Moldovan people, the partners provided enormous sums of money, but these didn’t reach the ordinary people who really need support. The money is stolen by those who are in power. “Today the Moldovan people, seeing that the EU representatives in Moldova react so indifferently to the committed thefts, have reasons to suspect the European ambassadors of being involved in this stealing,” he stated.
Fiodor Ghelici noted that the Moldovan people should follow the example of Romania, where reforms are done and things go well and where the corrupt functionaries, regardless of their rank, are held accountable. A person from Germany should be named Moldova’s President as he would bring things in order in this country given that our rulers are unable too.
“I call on the Europeans, if they really care about us and want Moldova to be near them, to ‘annex’ us as we want to live like them, to enjoy order, to have functional laws and social and legal protection and to be sure that if a scoundrel enters politics and robs us, he will stay behind bars with only bread and water,” said Fiodor Ghelici
The activist considers the time is now opportune to hold a referendum where the people will be asked what external development course Moldova should follow so as to take decisions based on the results of the plebiscite.
