The setting off of fireworks at night, between 10pm and 7am, is not allowed. Those who will break this rule will be fined up to 400 lei. Exception will be made only on New Year’s Eve, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We urge the people, especially the parents and teachers, to take all the necessary measures, in concert with us, so as not to allow the use of pyrotechnical products by minors and avoid possible incidents,” the head of the Ministry of the Interior’s Public Order Division Marin Maxian told a news conference. The police recommend the people to buy pyrotechnical products only in authorized retail outlets. They must have labels in the official language, which should include the name and address of the importer, the type and category of the item, the expiration date and the safe distance at which it can be used. There must be also attached the instructions. According to the police, there are 12 economic entities allowed to import and store pyrotechnical products and to stage pyrotechnics. Another 12 retail outlets are authorized to sell pyrotechnical products. Two are located in the municipality of Chisinau, two in Balti, by one in Ungheni, Drochia, Anenii Noi, and Orhei. Anatol Viniciuc, deputy head of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, said the pyrotechnical articles can cause fires. Before use, one should attentively study the instructions and security measures indicated on the packing.
