The first doses of Pfizer vaccines will be delivered to Moldova in the second half of March through the COVAX platform, President Maia Sandu announced after a discussion with Pfizer Regional President Sinan Atlig, IPN reports, quoting the presidential press service.

The file with the necessary documents will be sent to Chisinau today. On Friday, March 5, representatives of the company will have a meeting with the team responsible for the immunization process in Chisinau.

Maia Sandu noted that Moldova is ready to receive the Pfizer vaccines, which necessitate special storage and transportation conditions, at very low temperatures, and to immunize the citizens with them.

Maia Sandu was informed that Pfizer will give the go-ahead for the delivery of the vaccines to Moldova.

The people in Moldova are currently immunized with the AstraZeneca vaccines that were donated by Romania.
